Gluten Free Options!

For those who live a Gluten Free lifestyle, either by choice or for health reasons, like Celiac Disease or Gluten Intolerance, know how difficult the transition can be. Everyone who goes Gluten Free for one reason or another has one (or many) things they miss more than anything else, while we technically can't help you with the breads and the pastas (I've got some good recommendations for those too though!) we can help you with the beer! I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease 7 years ago and in the last 7 years there has been a big change in the world of Gluten Free beer and food. Although you can still find the old sorghum beers around, there are so many more and better options now. Many of our "Gluten-Free" options at Elevated are technically Gluten Removed or "Crafted to Reduce Gluten", but all fall under safe guidelines for people with Celiac Disease (I've tried them myself, I'm extra sensitive, and I've been just fine, but always do what's best for you and check with your doctor if you are not sure!) Below I have narrowed down our current lineup of "Gluten Free" beers AND all of these are available in Singles if you wanted to mix and match and build your own 6-pack, that way you can try some without the commitment to a 6 (or 4) pack!

Burning Brothers: Locally made right here in St. Paul, MN. Naturally gluten free in a 100% Gluten Free facility, seriously, you can't even bring gluten containing foods into the brewery!

Glutenberg: Quebec Canada, 100% Gluten free, made with millet, corn, buckwheat and/or quinoa. World Beer Cup 2012 Gold, Silver and Bronze awards.

Omission: Brewed by Widmer Brothers Brewing in Portland, OR. Gluten removed, Each bottle tested for the PPM and the results for each bottle can be found on their website. Gold and silver metal winners at the Great International Beer and Cider Competition

Lakefront New Grist: Milwaukee, WI, brewed with sorghum, rice, hops, yeast and water and is certified Gluten Free. Winner of 2011 Great American Beer Festival Silver for Gluten Free beer category and 2015 Bronze metal for the Los Angeles Inernational Beer Festival.

New Belgium, Glutiny: Fort Collins, CO. Gluten reduced with the use of an enzyme to break apart the gluten particles to a safe level for those of us with gluten intolerance/Celiac Disease. Glutiny Golden and Glutiny Pale Ale were released in January, 2016 and so far have good reviews with both Gluten sensitive and non-gluten sensitive beer drinkers!

Two Brothers Prairie Path: Warrenville, IL. Crafted to remove gluten, golden ale.

Stone Delicious IPA: San Diego, CA. Crafted to remove gluten. The name says it all, this IPA is Delicious! Made with Nugget, Calypso, Lemondrop and El Dorado Hops this IPA is so good Stone puts it in their variety packs and non-gluten free drinkers don't even know!
